BIOLAGE, a professional haircare brand by L’Oréal, is known for its commitment to combining nature and science to create effective, gentle hair and scalp treatments. Their product range addresses diverse hair concerns such as color care, hydration, strength recovery, and scalp health, with vegan and ammonia-free solutions that emphasize sustainability and performance.

In collaboration with Biolage through Industrial Color, I created and art directed visually impactful social media campaigns designed to strengthen the brand’s digital presence and consumer connection. My work included developing AI-generated assets (both stills and videos), producing motion animations, directing in-house photoshoots for both photography and video, and leading creative ideation to align with seasonal launches and brand messaging.

One notable campaign combined AI-assisted visuals with editorial-style motion design to showcase product benefits in an elevated, modern way. This approach resulted in increased social engagement and follower growth over time, reinforcing Biolage’s innovative, eco-conscious brand identity.

CREATIVE VISION
For Biolage’s social media campaigns, I led the creation of a visually cohesive yet adaptable creative system that could extend across multiple platforms and formats. This included AI-generated still and motion assets, editorial-style motion animations, and direction for in-house photography and video shoots. Each campaign was concepted to align with seasonal launches while reinforcing Biolage’s position as a modern, eco-conscious professional haircare brand. The visual direction balanced natural beauty cues with high-end editorial polish, ensuring the assets could engage audiences on Instagram, TikTok, and other brand channels.

DESIGN CONSTRAINTS
A key challenge was integrating AI-generated assets seamlessly with live-action photography and video while preserving brand authenticity. Maintaining Biolage’s natural, sustainability-focused aesthetic required careful attention to lighting, texture, and color grading so that all elements—AI or captured—felt cohesive. Additionally, assets needed to be optimized for a variety of aspect ratios and platform-specific requirements without losing visual impact or consistency. These constraints pushed me to refine workflows for blending AI and traditional creative production.
