BIOLAGE CASE STUDY
Biolage, a professional haircare brand by L’Oréal, is recognized for blending nature and science to deliver sustainable, vegan, and high-performance haircare solutions. With a product line that spans hydration, scalp health, and repair, the brand emphasizes eco-conscious formulas and a clean, modern aesthetic.

Through Industrial Color, I art directed and produced an AI-enhanced social media campaign designed to scale Biolage’s storytelling across digital and in-store touchpoints. This work combined AI-generated ingredient imagery, motion animation, and post-production polish to deliver 100+ premium assets in under three weeks.

My role included creative direction, AI workflow integration, retouching, and motion design, blending advanced tools like MidJourney, Runway, and Luma AI with traditional craft to accelerate production while preserving Biolage’s natural brand identity.

One highlight was a set of editorial-style social animations that merged AI visuals with photography, resulting in increased engagement and more efficient content delivery. This approach reinforced Biolage’s reputation as an innovative, sustainability-driven brand.

CREATIVE VISION
For Biolage’s social media campaigns, I designed a scalable creative system that balanced innovation with brand heritage. This included AI-generated still and motion assets, editorial-style animations, and art direction for in-house photo and video shoots. Each campaign was concepted to align with seasonal launches and strengthen Biolage’s reputation as a modern, eco-conscious professional haircare brand.
The visual direction paired natural ingredient storytelling with high-end editorial polish, ensuring assets were engaging across Instagram, TikTok, and other brand channels..

DESIGN CONSTRAINTS
One of the biggest challenges was ensuring seamless integration of AI-generated imagery with live-action content. To maintain Biolage’s clean, sustainability-driven aesthetic, I focused on careful color grading, lighting consistency, and texture detail so that every asset—AI or captured—felt authentic and cohesive. Assets also had to be optimized across multiple aspect ratios and formats, pushing me to refine workflows that supported cross-platform adaptability without compromising visual impact.

KEY INSIGHTS
This case study underscored the value of merging AI workflows with traditional production techniques to deliver premium, scalable storytelling. The approach consistently increased engagement and audience growth, proving that innovation could amplify brand DNA rather than dilute it. The experience highlighted the importance of adaptability, visual cohesion, and brand alignment in creating impactful campaigns that resonate across digital ecosystems.
